You now know the pieces: the clouds, the gates, the state machine, the flip-is-not-the-entry rule, and the chop filter. This lesson assembles them into one repeatable playbook you can run on a live entry — and shows you how to physically wire the two indicators together so the chop filter grades the dashboard's flips and not its own fallback. By the end you'll have a single sequence to run every time, and a checklist to validate it before you commit premium.
A playbook only works if it's the same every time — the whole reason a written pre-order checklist beats trading from feel.
Wiring: make the two tools talk
Out of the box, the chop filter grades its own rough flips. To grade the real A+ Scalp clouds, you wire them:
- Add A+ Scalp Dashboard to the chart (overlay).
- Add A+ Chop Filter in a separate pane.
- In the Chop Filter settings, point its
aplusPacksource at the A+ Scalp Dashboard'saplusPackoutput. One wire.
When it's connected the header reads A+ LINKED; while it reads NOT WIRED the pane is amber and its numbers are meaningless. The reason it's a single wire is a real constraint worth knowing: TradingView rations indicator-on-indicator links by plan tier (Essential allows one, Premium many), so A+ Scalp packs everything into one number the filter decodes.
One value you'll see is na — clouds not warm yet. Read na as "the tool declines to have an opinion," not as a zero. A good tool that says "I don't know" is more useful than one that guesses.
The playbook, one sequence
Every A+ entry runs the same chain. Nothing here is new — it's Lessons 2 through 7 in order:
- Bias — which side does True VWAP make eligible? (Lesson 4)
- Alert — the fast cloud flips, C1 ▲/▼. An alert, not an entry. (Lesson 2)
- Structure — a CHoCH, BOS, or clean first pullback confirms. (Lesson 6)
- Confirmation — the state reaches CONFIRMED or RESUME, RVOL backing it. (Lesson 6)
- Skeptic — the chop filter stamps PASS, not BLOCK. (Lesson 7)
- Risk — stop beyond invalidation, target at a level, RR worth taking. (Lesson 10)
- Extended? — if price is already 1×ATR out (EXTENDED), stand down and wait for the pullback.
Validate that chain against a live setup with the entry checklist — every box the same discipline you learned in the SMC/ICT checklist, now applied to an A+ flip:
A worked entry
Put it in motion. On a 1-minute chart, True VWAP holds long, so only longs are eligible. Price pulls back and the fast cloud flips green — C1 ▲, your alert, nothing more. You wait. On the pullback, price sweeps a small prior low and prints a bullish CHoCH — the structure shift. The state advances to CONFIRMED as RVOL expands off the pullback low. The chop filter, wired and reading A+ LINKED, stamps PASS · REJOIN (a with-trend flip). Now — and only now — you enter, stop under the pullback low, target the next intraday high, having checked the reward is worth the risk. If instead the chop filter had stamped BLOCK, or price were already EXTENDED, you'd pass and wait for the next one.
That's the entire course in one paragraph: the flip started a process, and five independent checks — across timeframes — had to agree before a single dollar of premium was at risk. Slower than chasing the flip, and far more reliable.
